Microsoft TechNet: 10 Immutable Laws of Security
Don't be one of these bright dummies:
Office workers give away passwords for a cheap pen
Systems administrators and other support staff will very rarely, if ever, need to know a user's password in order to perform their jobs. System administrators with "root" or superuser privileges can change the users' passwords without their permission, so they have no need whatsoever to ask for it. In addition, they will go out of their way not to ask for a password, precisely because they do not want to encourage the habit of giving passwords to anyone.
Techdirt: Don't Just Plug Random Crap Into Your Computer
For those of you still searching for the Any Key.
Computer analogy:
Every program that's running is like an object on your desk. Some things help, like a pen holder or a stapler. Then there's Spyware, which is like an ugly paperweight. Sometimes Spyware is kinda pointy and can cause other problems, aside from just slowing you down. A virus is like...a live badger on your desk. Trojan horses are like signing for a UPS delivery labeled "refrigerator" which is actually a bear. Programs that run at startup are like...pictures of the worker's wife...every time they go to work they get it out and it takes up desk space. The operating system is the employee handbook. - Amy
